00000119-stateimage.jpgPhil Jaques produced the highest one-day score for NSW (and the second highest in domestic history) when the Blues registered a six run win over Queensland yesterday, in the Ford Ranger Cup at the SCG.

The former one-day international made an unbeaten 171 from 143 balls as NSW posted 4-293 against the Bulls, pushing the Blues to equal second on the ladder. "It was just good to kick on and finally get a good score," Phil said. "After what I went through with my back, it is just good to be out there swinging the willow".

Jaques has now scored three of the five highest one-day scores in NSW history and has equalled Steve Waugh's state record for the most one-day hundreds. His most recent score of 171 puts him in second place on the list of highest scores in domestic cricket, behind Jimmy Maher’s 187 at the Gabba in the 2003-04 season.
