Spinner Steve Smith claimed his maiden Test scalp.
Pakistan faces a 13th consecutive defeat against Australia after being set a world record 440 to win the first Test at Lord's. Last man Doug Bollinger, whose previous best Test score was 9, made 21 in a lively 10th-wicket partnership of 52 with Ben Hilfenhaus.
Smith (1-34) opened his Test account with just his 13th delivery when he dismissed opener Imran Farhat (24). The 21-year-old legspinner delighted in his breakthrough.
